What to expect during your MRI scan
We understand that undergoing any type of scan can be daunting, which is why our dedicated team of MRI radiographers will be with you every step of the way.
The MRI scan will last between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the area being scanned and how many images are taken. Our wide bore MRI scanner is designed to provide a reassuring environment should you struggle with feelings of claustrophobia.
After the scan is finished a Consultant Radiologist will assess your images and write a diagnostic report. All our radiologists are accredited sub-specialists so you can be assured of receiving an accurate interpretation of your scan.
The diagnostic report will be sent to your referring GP or specialist within a few days of your scan. You will also be given access to our Patient Portal to view your scan images.
